Terms of Service

The agreement for using Parcel.

Effective July 2026.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Parcel. In these Terms, "Parcel," "we," "us," and "our" mean the business that operates the Parcel service and the savewithparcel.com website, together with its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, and agents. "You" means the person using the service.

By accessing or using savewithparcel.com or any packet, preview, or other service we provide (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Parcel is — and what it is not

Parcel helps homeowners prepare property tax appeal packets. A packet may include research on local filing requirements, comparable properties, completed forms, and filing instructions, so you can review the packet and decide whether to file it yourself with your taxing authority.

Parcel is not a law firm, tax advisor, accountant, appraiser, or licensed professional, and does not provide legal, tax, financial, or appraisal advice. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship. Parcel is a self-help document-preparation tool. You are representing yourself, you make your own decisions, and you are responsible for reviewing everything before you rely on it or file it.

We do not guarantee any outcome. We do not promise that filing an appeal will lower your property taxes, that an appeal will succeed, that you will receive a refund or reduction, or that any assessed value, comparable, or opinion of value in a packet is accurate or will be accepted. Whether to reduce your assessment or taxes is the sole decision of your assessor, board, or taxing authority, and is outside our control.

3. Eligibility

To use the Service you must be at least 18 years old, able to form a binding contract, and using the Service for real property you own or are authorized to appeal on, located in the United States. You may not use the Service where doing so is prohibited by law.

4. Your account

You sign in through Google. You are responsible for your account and for all activity under it, for keeping your access secure, and for the accuracy of the information you provide. Tell us promptly at hello@savewithparcel.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

5. Your responsibilities

A packet is only as good as the information you give us and the public data available for your property. You agree that you are solely responsible for:

6. Previews, packets, and availability

A free preview may be available for some properties. A completed packet requires payment. The Service does not cover every jurisdiction, property, or situation, and we may decline to provide, or be unable to provide, a preview or packet for any address. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

7. Fees and payment

The price for a completed packet is shown at checkout (currently a one-time $49 per packet). Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number. You authorize us and Stripe to charge the amount shown for the packet you buy. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase. We may change our prices at any time, but a change does not affect a packet you have already paid for.

8. Refunds

The preview is free. For a completed packet you paid for, if a mistake we made in your packet causes your taxing authority to reject the filing when you submit it, we will refund the fee you paid for that packet. To request a refund, email hello@savewithparcel.com from the Google account you signed in with, and describe what happened.

This refund is your sole and exclusive remedy for any problem with a packet or the Service. It does not cover a rejection or denial that results from information you provided, a missed or mistaken deadline, filing with the wrong office or in the wrong way, your taxing authority's discretionary decision on the merits of your appeal, or any other cause outside a mistake we made in preparing the packet. Except as stated in this section, all fees are non-refundable.

9. Your license to the packet; our intellectual property

When you buy a packet, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that packet to pursue a property tax appeal for your own property. Any government forms included are public documents of the issuing government, not ours.

Everything else — the Parcel name and brand, the website, and its content, design, text, and software — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or use the Service or any packet to prepare filings for other people or as a commercial service, and you may not scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract our source or data.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service unlawfully or for anyone else's property as a business without our written permission; not to provide false or misleading information; not to interfere with, disrupt, probe, or overload the Service; not to bypass any access control; and not to use the Service in any way that could harm us or any other person. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including Google (sign-in and maps) and Stripe (payments). Your use of those features is also governed by those companies' terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, or content of any third party or of any government website or office.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The service and every packet, preview, comparable, estimate, deadline, and other output are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency, or results.

We do not warrant that any assessed value, comparable property, opinion of value, deadline, or filing requirement is accurate, current, or complete; that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; or that any appeal prepared with the Service will succeed. Public data can be wrong or out of date, and estimates are not appraisals.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost savings, lost tax refunds or reductions, penalties or interest, amounts you owe your taxing authority, or lost data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the packet giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the event, or fifty U.S. dollars ($50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty or liability limitations, so some of the limits in this section and the section above may not apply to you; in that case they apply to the maximum extent the law allows.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, any packet you file, the information you provided, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

15. Dispute resolution; binding arbitration and class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by emailing hello@savewithparcel.com and giving us 30 days to respond.

If we cannot resolve it, you and we agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section. The arbitration may proceed by phone, video, or written submissions where allowed, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.

Class-action and jury-trial waiver. You and we agree to bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims. You and we waive any right to a jury trial.

Exceptions and opt-out. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect its intellectual property. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing hello@savewithparcel.com with your name and a statement that you opt out; opting out does not affect the rest of these Terms.

Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred, to the extent the law allows.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. To the extent any dispute is not subject to arbitration, you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above and post the updated Terms here. If you keep using the Service after an update, you accept the updated Terms.

18. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive — including the intellectual-property, disclaimer, limitation-of-liability, indemnification, dispute-resolution, and governing-law sections — survive any termination.

19. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them, including to an affiliate or in connection with a sale of the business. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
